Job summary

Evan Craig Limited is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer for our London team. The role focuses on planning and executing field investigations, monitoring foundation and earthwork construction, and preparing logs and geotechnical reports for large-scale projects.

The candidate will analyze geotechnical problems, contribute to reports, and work closely with Directors and Associates. A field-forward role with client interaction and potential travel across the UK is expected.

Qualifications

• BSc in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering mandatory.
• Master’s with Geotechnical specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute field investigations (borings, test pits, sampling).
• Observe foundation and earthwork construction; monitor conformance with specs.
• Prepare standard logs and field forms (drilling, test pits, dailies).
• Prepare, check, review technical reports (desk studies, interpretive reports, designs).
• Support Technical Directors and Associates in project delivery and client interaction.
