They are seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to help deliver a range of projects throughout the UK, across a range of market sectors.

Role

• Apply geotechnical engineering principles within a balance of office and site-based opportunities
• Support the ground engineering team across various sectors in varied geotechnical activities such as in ground investigation specification and management, earthworks and structures designs, and construction stage support
• Planning and supervising ground investigation
• Undertaking geotechnical reporting
• Completing geotechnical design analysis and reports
• Preparation of contract drawings, specifications and schedules in compliance with UK standards.

Requirements

• BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering or BSc/MSc in Engineering Geology or Earth Science.
• MSc in Geotechnical Engineering or a related applicable field is desirable.
• Graduate Member of Institution of Civil Engineers or Fellow of the Geological Society currently working towards Chartered Engineer (IEng/CEng) / Geologist (CGeol) status.
• A proven track record of working in geotechnical consultancy in the UK.
• Relevant background, knowledge and skills of geotechnical engineering principals and practice
• Strong analytical skills and background of earthworks and structures detailed design analysis and specification of engineering solutions.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• The ability to organise and prioritise workload to ensure that timescales are met.
• Good problem solving/contingency planning skills with ability to find quick, innovative and practical engineering solutions.
• Responsibility for your own personal development and be able to support the learning of others.
• The ability to work collaboratively with others to form strong positive working relationships with colleagues, clients and contractors.
• A clean driving licence and be willing to travel to sites and offices within the UK when required.
