Job summary

Igne Group Limited in Walsall is seeking a Geo-environmental Engineer to join the Engineering team on a full-time basis. The role involves travel across the UK for site work, and requires a valid UK driving license.

You will perform environmental due diligence, ground investigations, and geotechnical assessments, supporting remediation strategies and validation works. The successful candidate should have a related Bachelor's or Master’s degree, strong reporting skills, and the ability to work

Responsibilities

  • Prepare preliminary risk assessment reports.
  • Participate in ground investigation procurement, supervision and management.
  • Undertake ground investigation including trial pitting, soil and water sampling, gas monitoring and logging of soils and rock cores to relevant British Standards and Eurocodes.
  • Prepare laboratory testing schedules.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders; interpret soil/rock stratigraphy for foundation, earthworks and pavement design.
  • Assist in specialised geological projects including quarry high walls and slopes.

# Geo-environmental EngineerIgne is looking to appoint a **Geo-environmental Engineer** to join our successful Geo-environmental Division based in **Walsall**. This is a full time position and will involve**travel** across the UK to undertake site work. A full **UK driving license** is essential to be considered for the role.This varied role involves undertaking environmental due diligence reviews, various aspects of ground engineering including preliminary risk assessments, ground investigations, geotechnical assessments, ground contamination appraisals, remedial options appraisals, remediation strategies and associated validation works.There will be ample scope for the successful candidate to learn new skills and further their career.
