Job summary

GIS Recruiter Ltd is seeking a GIS Data Quality Manager to lead data quality within a data governance framework for geospatial assets. The role focuses on reliability, consistency, and adherence to data quality standards across global projects and external partners.

You will drive quality objectives, engage data owners, monitor standards, and implement lifecycle tools for data cleansing and validation to maintain high-quality geographic information products.

Qualifications

• Deep technical proficiency and experience of improving the quality of remotely sensed 2D & 3D datasets (imagery, LiDAR) and geospatial data at scale.
• Thorough understanding and practical experience of implementing workflow tools and/or frameworks to monitor quality across the data production lifecycle.
• Domain experience and knowledge - esp. Government, Infrastructure & Utilities domains.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Well organised with a structured approach to work.
• Excellent prioritisation, time management and focus on delivery of key objectives.

Responsibilities

• Managing data quality associated with geospatial data.
• Define data quality objectives as part of the data governance strategy.
• Drive practical, collaborative engagement with data owners so that data quality objectives can be understood in terms of value, and successfully adopted into new ways of working.
• Identify relevant data quality standards, and objectively monitor progress against them - ensuring consistency and integrity across data and information assets.
• Evaluate and implement tools to support data quality management across the lifecycle (including being hands-on with data cleansing and data validation processes).
• Share insights and improvement requirements, so that they can be prioritised as part of an agile development and release process
