GIS Recruiter Ltd in Edinburgh is seeking a GIS Data Quality Manager to lead data governance and improve the reliability of our geospatial datasets across multiple projects. You will define data quality objectives, drive data owners' engagement, and monitor quality across the data lifecycle, including imagery and LiDAR, to support informed decision making.

Qualifications

• Experience improving the quality of remotely sensed 2D & 3D datasets (imagery, LiDAR) at scale.
• Practical experience implementing workflow tools/frameworks to monitor quality across the data production lifecycle.
• Domain knowledge in Government, Infrastructure & Utilities sectors.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Well organized with a structured approach to work.
• Strong prioritisation and time management with focus on delivering key objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manage data quality associated with geospatial data.
• Define data quality objectives as part of the data governance strategy.
• Engage with data owners to ensure quality objectives are understood and adopted.
• Identify relevant data quality standards and monitor progress for consistency and integrity.
• Evaluate and implement tools to support data quality management across the lifecycle (including data cleansing and validation).
• Share insights to inform agile development and release planning.
