Job summary

SLR Consulting is seeking a highly motivated Geologist to join our Mining Advisory team in the UK. This early‑career role offers mentorship, exposure to geological modelling, resource evaluation, and drill supervision across global mining clients.

Based in a UK office with hybrid working, you will contribute to site work, data management, and technical reporting while developing consulting and technical skills for a dynamic career in sustainability and mining advisory.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in Geology (or related subject).
• Graduate level membership of a relevant professional body (or eligibility for).
• Experience of drilling fieldwork, core logging and sampling is desirable.
• Familiarity with spatial software such CAD, GIS tools, as well as geological modelling software such as LSS, Leapfrog, Surpac, Datamine, Micromine would be advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to write concise reports and interact with clients.

Responsibilities

• Undertake geological site work, such as core logging, sampling, and mapping.
• Assist with design and supervision of mineral resource drilling programmes.
• Generate and manage geological databases.
• Review, interpret and report geological data.
• Carry out geological modelling and help prepare technical reports.
