Job summary
SLR Consulting is seeking an experienced Hydrogeologist or Environmental Scientist to join our Hydrology & Hydrogeology team. Based in the UK, the role focuses on environmental impact assessments, hydrogeological investigations, water environment assessments and abstraction licensing, with exposure to wider environmental work.
You will lead project delivery, mentor junior staff, manage clients, and collaborate across disciplines, with opportunities for international exposure and flexible, hybrid
Qualifications
- Substantial UK water environment or hydrogeology project experience.
- Degree in Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Geoscience or related field.
- Experience with water monitoring, abstraction licensing or related technical work.
- Knowledge of UK water legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Strong reporting and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of water environment and hydrogeology projects from planning to reporting.
- Manage clients and proposals, building relationships and repeat work.
- Mentor and coach junior scientists and hydrogeologists.
- Desk‑based analysis and site visits across the UK
