Job summary

SLR Consulting seeks an experienced Mine Water Professional to lead mine water and hydrology projects from planning through detailed design. Based in Edinburgh/London/Nottingham/Bristol or Dublin, you will work with clients and multidisciplinary teams across the mining lifecycle.

You will mentor junior engineers, conduct technical workshops, and deliver high‑quality reports, with opportunities for international exposure and flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering mine water, hydrology or water resource projects.
• Degree in hydrology, water resources engineering, environmental engineering, geology or related field with professional registration (CEng, CEnv or CSci).
• Project management and stakeholder engagement experience including client liaison and technical workshop delivery.
• Knowledge of water management design codes, guidance and best‑practice standards for mining and minerals.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of mine water and hydrology projects from planning through detailed design.
• Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams across the mining lifecycle.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and scientists within the team.
• Engage with clients, run technical workshops and deliver reports, QA/QC, and site visits.
