Job summary
SLR Consulting is seeking a motivated Geologist to join our Mining Advisory team, supporting global mining clients with geological modelling, resource evaluation, and drill program design. The role offers hybrid working within commuting distance of an SLR office and a graduate programme to build technical and consulting capabilities.
You will gain exposure to site work, data management, and reporting while developing proficiency in geoscience software and client interaction.
Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in Geology (or related subject) and formal academic training in Earth Science
- Graduate level membership of a relevant professional body (or eligibility for)
- Experience of drilling fieldwork, core logging and sampling is desirable
- Familiarity with spatial software such CAD, GIS tools, as well as geological modelling software, such as LSS, Leapfrog, Surpac, Datamine, Micromine would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence is essential
Responsibilities
- Undertake geological site work, such as core logging, sampling, and mapping
- Assist with the design and supervision of mineral resource drilling programmes
- Generate and manage geological databases
- Review, interpret and report geological data
- Carry out geological modelling and help prepare technical reports
- Assist with the preparation of proposals and contribute to business development within the company
