Job summary

Colmore Education Recruitment Ltd. are currently recruiting for an experienced Geography Teacher to join a secondary school in North Birmingham on an immediate-start basis. The school is seeking a confident teacher who can deliver engaging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, while maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement.

This role is not suitable for ECTs. The successful candidate will plan and deliver lessons, monitor progress, and contribute to the wider life of the school,

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven Geography teaching experience in a secondary school.
• Strong knowledge across KS3 and KS4.

Responsibilities

• Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4.

• Prepare students for GCSE examinations.
• Monitor and assess student progress.

Geography Teacher – North Birmingham

Location: North Birmingham

Salary: £180–£230 per day

Contract: Long-term / Temporary

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: Until July 2027

Colmore Education are currently recruiting for an experienced and committed Geography Teacher to join a secondary school in North Birmingham on an immediate-start basis.

The school is seeking a confident teacher who can deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4, whilst maintaining high standards of behaviour and achievement.

This role is not suitable for ECTs.

The Role

• Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
• Prepare and support students through GCSE examinations
• Monitor and assess student progress
• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Work collaboratively with the Geography department
• Contribute to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate

• QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Proven experience teaching Geography within a secondary school
• Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to engage, motivate and challenge students
• A professional and enthusiastic approach
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing

Previous secondary school teaching experience is essential. ECT applications will not be considered for this position.
