Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Geoenvironmental Consultant in Sheffield to conduct ground investigations on site and monitor soil gas and groundwater. The role involves risk assessments, producing Phase 1 desk-based reports, and writing detailed reports.

The successful candidate will have a geology/geoscience/environmental science background, a full UK driving licence, and be located near Sheffield with the right to work in the UK. This is a permanent, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in geotechnical or geo-environmental roles.
• Degree in geology, geoscience, environmental science, earth science or related.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Must be located in or near Sheffield.
• Full right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out ground investigations on site.
• Monitor soil gas and groundwater conditions.
• Undertake contaminated land risk assessments.
• Produce Phase 1 desk-based assessments.
• Write detailed factual and interpretative reports.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
