Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Glasgow, UK, is seeking an experienced candidate to support contaminated land assessment and remediation projects. The role offers strong development potential, training and mentoring within a world-class team.

You will work on Phase 1 desk studies, field investigations, soil logging, sampling, data interpretation and reporting, with some time in office and on-site across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience leading site investigations and fieldwork.
• Proven ability to prepare Phase 1 desk studies for contaminated land/geo-environmental work.
• Knowledge of planning, design and management of site investigations.
• Experience with soil logging and ground gas monitoring.
• Familiarity with CDM Regulations in site investigations.
• Understanding of UK land contamination regimes and risk-based assessment methods.
• Strong report writing and data handling skills.
• Post-graduate experience in site investigations and groundwater/ground gas monitoring is valued.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage site investigations on/off-site.
• Conduct soil logging, environmental sampling and ground gas monitoring.
• Collate, review and interpret data from investigations.
• Assist with site investigation design and planning.
• Prepare technical reports including desk studies and remediation verification reports.
• Ensure work adheres to safety, health and environmental procedures.
