Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Clinical Scientist to join the Haematological Malignancy Diagnostic Service (HMDS) at St James’s University Hospital in Leeds. The role is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, focusing on haemato-oncology molecular work within the genomics team.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of a high-quality genomics service, collaborating with scientists across HMDS and the central laboratory.

Qualifications

• HCPC Clinical Scientist registration is required.
• Applicants may be within six months of completing STP training; Annex 21 and 30 pay rules apply.
• Experience in haemato-oncology molecular work is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a broad range of complex and specialised scientific work from raw data.
• Work within HMDS and across the central laboratory at Leeds.
• Contribute to development and delivery of a high-quality genomics service.
