Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Health Science Practitioner (Senior Genetic Technologist) for the NEY Genomics Central Lab at St James’s University Hospital, Leeds. The successful candidate will have a Biological Science degree with Genomics content, HCPC/AHCS registration, and at least 3 years of relevant experience, with a willingness to participate in

Qualifications

• First degree in Biological Science with substantial Genomics content.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience; ideally in a diagnostic lab.
• Registration with AHCS or HCPC as Genetic Technologist or Biomedical Scientist.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced lab, delivering work to tight deadlines.
• Must be able to work 37.5 hours per week and cover out-of-hours rotas.
• Demonstrate initiative, strong communication and teamwork.
