Job summary

Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust invites applications for a substantive Consultant Radiologist with a Genitourinary Radiology subspecialty. The post is a full-time 10 PA position (8 PAs clinical care / 2 PAs Supporting Professional Activity) based at Southport and Ormskirk, with opportunities to work across other sites.

Applicants should hold MBBS/MBCHB and FRCR (UK or equivalent), be eligible for the Specialist Register with the GMC or expect CCT within six months.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MBCHB with FRCR UK or equivalent required.
• Must be eligible for GMC Specialist Register or obtain CCT within six months of interview.
• Overseas applicants with CESR may apply.

Responsibilities

• Maintain increasing radiology workload and participate in MDT meetings.
• Support subspecialty development as required and cover for colleagues during leave.
• Contribute to audits, teaching, and research within the department.
• Assist in ensuring waiting list targets and extended working where appropriate.
