Job summary

Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust invites applications for a substantive Consultant Radiologist position with a subspecialty interest in Genitourinary Radiology. The post is 10 PA (8 direct clinical care / 2 SPA) with opportunity to work across multiple sites, based at Southport and Ormskirk.

Applicants must have MBBS/FRCR (UK or equivalent), GMC Specialist registration eligibility or CCT within six months, and CESR eligibility for overseas applicants.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with a Licence to Practice.
• FRCR or equivalent radiology qualification.
• Entry on GMC Specialist Register for Clinical Radiology or within 6 months of CCT.
• UK-trained candidates must hold a CCT or be within six months of award at interview.
• Overseas trained applicants may have CESR eligibility.
• MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expanding radiology workload and MDT contributions.
• Meet waiting list targets and support extended working.
• Cover colleagues during study leave and sickness as needed.
• Supervise trainees; participate in audits and clinical governance.
• Contribute to teaching, research activities and departmental governance.
