Job summary

Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust seeks a Consultant Radiologist with a subspecialty in Genitourinary (GU) imaging. This full-time post is 10 Programmed Activities (8 direct clinical care, 2 SPA) to support an expanding department across Southport and Ormskirk sites.

The successful candidate will have MBBS/MBCHB, FRCR, and GMC Specialist Register (or near CCT), with strong GU imaging and teaching experience. Audit and research are encouraged.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MBCHB required and FRCR or equivalent.
• Membership of the Royal College of Radiologists and GMC Specialist Register or imminent CCT.
• Overseas CESR applicants considered.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expanding department workload and MDT input.
• Meet waiting list targets and support extended working.
• Cover colleagues during absence and provide teaching.
• Participate in audit, clinical governance and annual appraisal.
