Job summary

Power Electrics is seeking a Depot Technician to support the Generator Engineer Foreman and Rental team with preparation, testing and repair of generator sets. This is primarily depot-based, with occasional site travel as required.

You will service and maintain generators (15KVA+), assist in yard operations, and perform off-site servicing as needed. A valid driving licence and forklift competencies are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Diesel Fitting, or equivalent, or experience with generators.
• Mechanical or electrical background essential.
• Driving licence essential (with towing categories preferred).

Responsibilities

• Service, maintenance and upkeep of generators (15KVA+).
• Assist in yard operations including loading/offloading equipment.
• Carry out servicing and repairs off site when required.
• Deliver and collect generators using company vehicles; refuelling as needed.
• General yard/workshop maintenance and cleanliness.
• Participate in engineers' call-out rota (1 in 4) after training.
• Liaise with Depot Foreman on equipment, parts, oils daily.
• Drive forklift in yard as required.
• Comply with ISO 9001:2015, H&S policies and continuous improvement.
