Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Generator Engineer for an established power generation business. The role involves servicing, maintaining and repairing diesel generators across customer sites, ensuring high reliability and uptime.

You will also install, commission and fault-diagnose generators, and perform planned preventive maintenance as needed. The position is on-site with standard Monday–Friday hours and a salary in the £38,000–£40,000 range.

Qualifications

  • Diesel generator experience required.
  • Knowledge of Deep Sea Controllers essential.
  • Experience with generator installations and commissioning.
  • Must hold 18th Edition qualification.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.

An established power generation business is looking to recruit an experienced Engineer to join their service team.

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 + Overtime Available

Hours: Monday to Friday

About your new Generator Engineer role:
  • Service, maintain and repair a range of diesel generators.
  • Carry out generator installations, commissioning and fault diagnosis.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on customer sites.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs.
What you'll need to succeed:
  • Previous experience working on diesel generators.
  • Strong knowledge of Deep Sea Controllers.
  • Experience carrying out generator installations.
  • 18th Edition qualification.
  • Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
