Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Daventry (UK) is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to assemble and wire diesel and gas generator electrical components following electrical drawings and engineering standards.

The role operates 37.5 hours per week on rotating shifts, with starting salary of £27,942 per annum plus shift allowance for afternoon shifts. The candidate will work with production teams, perform daily quality checks, and ensure documentation is completed accurately while maintaining 5S standards and crane

Qualifications

• Mechanical and electrical background required or beneficial.
• Experience with assembly or factory environments preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision within established processes.
• Ability to self-manage to hit production targets.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing machinery and production equipment safely to meet quality and productivity standards.
• Assemble and wire diesel and gas generator electrical components to specification.
• Interpret electrical drawings, engineering documentation and work instructions.
• Complete quality checks and ensure process documentation is accurate.
• Maintain high quality standards in line with business requirements.
• Report issues to supervisor promptly.
• Liaise with supervisors to support smooth production.
• Be flexible to support different areas within the Genset department as needed.
• Perform daily checks, 5S housekeeping and crane inspections.
