Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Daventry, UK, is seeking a Manufacturing Operator for the Genset department. You will assemble and wire generator components from electrical drawings, following engineering standards and procedures.

Typical shift pattern is 37.5 hours per week with rotating mornings and afternoons. Starting salary is £27,942 per year plus afternoon shift allowance for the right candidate on a 24-month fixed-term contract with potential for permanency.

Qualifications

• Experience in assembly or factory settings is advantageous.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, follow engineering standards and instructions.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision and meet production targets.

Responsibilities

• Operate manufacturing machinery and production equipment safely to meet quality and productivity standards.
• Assemble and wire diesel and gas generator electrical components to specification.
• Interpret electrical drawings and work instructions to complete tasks.
• Complete quality checks accurately and maintain stage process documentation.
• Maintain high quality standards in line with business requirements.
• Report issues to your supervisor promptly and liaise with production supervisors.
• Be flexible to support different areas within the Genset department based on production needs.
• Complete required daily 5S housekeeping and crane inspections.
