Job summary

DeepMind Technologies Limited seeks a senior ML engineering leader to drive development and deployment of novel generative AI applications, translating AI research into real-world products and leading engineering teams. You will build and ship software, and work across partner teams to maximize impact for Google/DeepMind customers.

You will collaborate with researchers and product managers to translate research advancements into tangible features, optimize performance, and guide architecture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience with system design, data structures and algorithms.
• 7+ years leading technical project strategy, ML design and scalable ML infrastructure.
• 5+ years in a technical leadership or people management role.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of scalable generative AI applications and advocate industry best practices.
• Guide rapid development of new features, iterating based on evaluation results while mentoring team members.
• Collaborate with researchers and product managers to translate research into tangible product features.
• Oversee software performance optimization and ensure reliability of deployed applications.
• Lead architecture and development of new products and features from 0 to 1.
