SP Electricity North West seeks a Generation Delivery & Compliance Engineer to lead projects connecting distributed generation to the network. You will drive compliance through planning, energisation, and delivery while coordinating with customers, contractors and internal teams.
The role focuses on HV/LV project delivery, G99/G100 compliance, and SCADA/telemetry commissioning with a strong emphasis on safety and regulatory adherence.
SP Electricity North West manages and invests in the power network that supplies electricity to the 2.4m homes and businesses across the North West. Our 2,400 colleagues manage the 13,000km of overhead lines, 44,000km of underground cables and thousands of electricity substations to keep power flowing and supporting green growth. We are looking for an experienced Generation Delivery & Compliance Engineer to join our team and play a key role in connecting distributed generation projects to the electricity network.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the UK's energy transition, leading projects through the compliance and connection process from initial planning through to successful energisation. You will act as the key link between customers, contractors and internal teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in compliance with all technical, operational and regulatory requirements.
The role offers a varied mix of project delivery, technical compliance, commissioning and stakeholder management, supporting the connection of renewable and distributed energy generation schemes across the network.
The successful candidate must, at the start of employment have permission to work in the UK without sponsorship.
As a Generation Delivery & Compliance Engineer, you will:
You must hold an HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering and have experience managing electrical distribution or construction projects. You'll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities while supporting a high-performing team.
