Job summary

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd in Manchester is seeking an experienced HR Officer for a 6-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover) to join a growing business. The role covers recruitment, onboarding, HR documentation, employee relations support and reporting.

You will work closely with the HR Manager, manage confidential records, and coordinate training in a fast-paced environment with flexible start times. 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Generalist HR experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, contracts and documentation.
• Exposure to employee relations such as absence and probation.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment from vacancy to offers and onboarding.
• Prepare contracts, offer letters and HR documentation.
• Be first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries.
• Assist HR Manager with employee relations and meeting notes.
• Support absence, probation and other HR processes.
• Maintain confidential employee records accurately.
• Produce weekly and monthly HR reports and MI.
• Coordinate training and HR activities.
• Collaborate with HR & Office Administrator and wider team.
• Own workload and adapt to changing priorities.
