Job summary

Sasse Limited, a family-focused company, is recruiting a Full-time General Service Operative (Shunter/Cleaner/Fueller) at Southport Bus Depot for Arriva. You will move and manoeuvre vehicles within the depot, follow the allocator’s instructions, and park according to the parking plan to keep the fleet running smoothly.

Responsibilities include cleanliness, fuelling tasks, and visual checks for damage, with strict Health & Safety adherence and the use of digital reporting tools.

• Carry out fuelling tasks
• Perform visual checks for damage and ensure windows are closed before wash
• Follow health & safety procedures and use reporting tools
• Take on additional site duties as a General Service Operative (GSO)

Job description

As a General Service Operative (Shunter/Cleaner/Fueller), you will play an essential role in ensuring our fleet operates smoothly and efficiently., Moving and manoeuvre vehicles/ buses within the depot, following instructions from the allocator and parking according to the parking plan.

• Maintaining overall cleanliness, including bus and facility cleaning, waste removal.
• Performing fuelling tasks.
• Conducting visual checks for any damage, reporting issues, and ensuring all windows are closed before buses enter the wash.
• Follow strict Health & Safety procedures and instructions.
• Using digital reporting tools.
• The role will also have additional site duties in line with General Service Operative (GSO)
