Job summary

Step Teachers is assisting a large mixed secondary school with sixth form in Norfolk to recruit a General Science Teacher for the long term, starting September 2026. The position is full-time, temporary and ongoing, with a competitive salary commensurate with experience.

You will teach Science across KS3/KS4, deliver A‑Level Chemistry to the sixth form, plan differentiated lessons, assess progress and contribute to departmental development while upholding high expectations for behaviour and

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching General Science at secondary level.
• Ability to teach Chemistry at A-Level is essential.
• Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum.
• Experience supporting students to achieve excellent outcomes.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
