Job summary

Academics is seeking a General Science Teacher for Torfaen secondary schools commencing 1 September 2026, with posts running to July 2027 initially and potential permanent roles. You will teach KS3 biology, chemistry and physics, with opportunities to cover KS4/KS5, and we welcome both NQT and experienced teachers.

Salary is paid per day under PAYE (£173-£265). We operate without umbrella companies and offer an easy registration process, plus a refer-a-friend scheme.

Job description

These posts will run until July 2027 initially but the school are looking to take on a science teacher on a permanent basis. You will be expected to have good knowledge in biology, chemistry and physics (KS3). You will also have opportunities to demonstrate your knowledge and passion in specialist fields by teaching KS4 and KS5. We welcome both NQT's and experienced teachers.
