Job summary

William Strike Ltd is seeking General Retail Assistants for Strikes Garden Centre in the UK. Roles are part-time permanent with multiple weekly hours (31.25 over 4 days or 24.5 over 3 days). Flexibility for weekends is essential to support busy periods and store events.

You will deliver friendly customer service, operate tills, replenish stock, and create appealing displays while promoting a high-quality shopping experience. Training will be provided.

We are looking for Part Time Permanent Retail Assistants to join the team in our Strikes Garden Centre.

Our competitive rates of pay range is dependent on age.

Roles available are 31.25 hours per week over 4 days & 24.5 per week over 3 days. All positions include regular weekend shifts so flexibility is a must.

The Role

As a General Retail Assistant, you have a responsibility to provide excellent customer service, creating an exceptional shopping experience for our customers helping them to make informed purchases.

What you will be doing as a General Retail Assistant?

• Till operation and serving customer
• Stock replenishment and merchandising across all department
• Creating and maintaining fabulous product displays
• Assisting our customer across the Centre taking every opportunity to WOW.
• Carry out cleaning and housekeeping tasks as needed
• Assisting customers with carrying purchases to their cars
• Friendly, with an engaging personality and a genuine love for customer service.
• Knowledge of Garden Centre products preferred but not essential as full training will be given
• Strong customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Great teamwork.
