RE Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced General Manager for a quality pub with rooms in the Stroud area. You will lead from the front, deliver exceptional customer experiences, develop a strong team and drive commercial success.

This is a full-time, permanent role requiring hands-on leadership, budget control, and close collaboration with kitchen and management to grow the business while maintaining high standards and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience within a quality pub, restaurant, hotel or food-led hospitality environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop and retain a great team.
• Good commercial awareness with experience of managing budgets, labour, stock, margins and profitability.
• Rosette experience would be good, although not necessarily a requirement.
• A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service and maintaining high standards.
• A hands-on, proactive approach with the confidence to take ownership of the day-to-day operation.
• WSET qualifications & wine experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Leading and inspiring the hospitality team to deliver consistently high levels of service
• Managing the day-to-day operation across the pub, restaurant and accommodation
• Driving sales, controlling costs and maximising the profitability of the business
• Recruiting, coaching and developing the team while maintaining excellent operational standards

Our client, a well-established quality pub with rooms within the hospitality industry, based in the Stroud area, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced General Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful General Manager should have

Our client is offering the successful General Manager a salary in the region of £40,000-£45,000, plus Tronc and a discretionary Performance & Profit Share Bonus Scheme.

The discretionary bonus scheme is designed to reward individual performance against agreed KPI-based metrics alongside the overall profitability of the business. Full targets, qualifying criteria and details of the scheme will be shared later.
