Job summary

Practice Plus Group is seeking a General Practitioner to join the Health in Justice team at HMP Gartree in Market Harborough. The role supports adult male patients with complex mental health needs and historic trauma, with 8 hours per week across Fridays.

You will work alongside GPs and ACPs to deliver psychiatric support and clinical governance in a secure environment. The role offers opportunities for professional development, a supportive team environment, and access to the broader Practice

Qualifications

• MBChB or MBBS with GMC registration.
• Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal/CPD.
• Experience as a GP in community/general practice.
• Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse.

We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Gartree. HMP Gartree is a category B prison based in Market Harborough, housing around 650 patients. You will be working close with the multidisciplinary team, including GP's and ACP's to deliver Psychiatric support to adult males mainly aged 28-50. Most of whom have complex mental health and historic trauma needs. Hours Fridays: 8:00 -1630 or 8.30-17.00 This position is part time working 8 hours per week., Our General Practitioners are extremely valued and are well respected members of the Prison Healthcare community, as a General Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, and therefore as a General Practitioner at Practice Plus Group you get the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in areas you wouldn't usually experience within a practice, or even A&E environment.
• Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patients requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management.
• Provide a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team at site, as well as the patients you work with having active
• involvement in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.

Yo'ull receive an annual salary up to £135,000 per annum FTE - depending on experience.
