Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is seeking a General Porter to join the Facilities Directorate on a full-time basis at Tunbridge Wells Hospital, Pembury. The role provides a comprehensive portering service to patients, staff and visitors.

You'll move patients, equipment, documentation, linen and waste, maintain a safe clean environment, and work as part of a responsive team. Training will be provided and prior healthcare experience is advantageous but not required.

The Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust have another opportunity which has arisen within the Facilities Directorate for a full time General Porter to join our dedicated facilities team in portering. To provide an efficient, effective and fully comprehensive portering services across Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury.

We are looking for lively and enthusiastic individuals that have excellentinterpersonal and communication skills, who are well motivated andhard-working and able to work as part of our team.

Previous experience of working within a healthcare environment would beadvantageous but not essential as training will be provided.

The General Porter is a multi-skilled person working with a team, they are responsible for maintaining a comprehensive professional and responsive high quality porter service to patients, staff, visitors and all service users. They undertake the movement of patients, equipment, documentation, linen, waste etc. in an efficient and safe manner. Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with the specification and be responsive to service needs as they arise and constantly seek to improve the productivity and quality of the service.

Undertake necessary duties to ensure that an efficient portering service ismaintained. These duties will be carried out both in patient and non-patient environments.

All work must be undertaken in line with Health and Safety, Infection Prevention, Security and all Trust Policy and Procedures.
