Job summary

The Amber Foods, part of 2 Sisters Food Group, invites applications for Production Operatives in Scunthorpe. The role involves operating in the Amber team with varied early/late shifts and performing duties to meet cutting, line and safety standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining hygiene, producing to spec, and palletising goods, while ensuring GMP and health & safety compliance. Training and progression opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Capable of meeting productivity targets and quality hygiene metrics.
• Able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Carry out required functions in the cutting hall after training.
• General operative duties on the line as required.
• Maintain basic hygiene, health & safety and product quality standards.
• Maintain high personal hygiene and presentation during working hours.
• Produce each product to specification.
• Maintain Health and Safety standards per policy and laws; promote safety awareness.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and keep area clean as you go.
• Minimise risk of product contamination through safe practices.
• Stack cases onto pallets.
• Manually place boxes on pallets.

We currently have exciting opportunities for Production Operative's to join the Amber team in Scunthorpe

Hours of work:

Week 1 - Monday to Saturday from 6am to 14:30

Week 2 - Monday to Friday from 14:30 to 23:00

Main Responsibilities

The General Operative will be responsible for:

• Correctly and effectively carry out the required functions, once trained to do so, in the cutting hall
• General operative duties on the line as required
• Ensure that all areas of training in basic food hygiene, health and safety and product quality are adhered to
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and presentation during working hours
• Produce each product to specification
• Maintain Health and Safety standards in accordance with Company Policy and all relevant legislative documentation – actively encouraging health and safety awareness with other operatives maintaining a safe working environment.
• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are adhered to in full – actively encouraging the ‘clean as you go’ philosophy.
• Ensure work practices minimisethe risk of product contamination.
• Stacking cases of goods or products onto a pallet.
• Manually placing boxes on pallets

Qualifications

Skills required:

• Good spoken English is not essential
• To meet targets set by management and the customer, i.e. productivity, quality hygiene and waste.
• To work as part of a team and effectively communicate with all colleagues and Management staff
• Meet all customer requirements & meet standards expected
