Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group is recruiting a General Operative to join the Amber team at Willand site, part of a leading UK food manufacturer.

Shifts are Monday 05:30-14:30 and Tuesday 05:30-13:30; pay rate £13.26 per hour. You will work as part of a team, maintain high safety and hygiene standards, and contribute to meeting daily production targets with training provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to work as part of a team and effectively communicate with colleagues and management
• Willingness to learn and follow training to perform required tasks
• Strong focus on safety, hygiene and quality standards

Responsibilities

• Carry out required functions in the cutting hall once trained
• Perform general operative duties on the line as required
• Maintain health and safety standards in line with company policy and legislative documentation
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and keep work areas clean and orderly
• Use knives safely and maintain high personal hygiene and presentation
• Contribute to meeting daily production targets and ensure waste is minimized

The hours of work and shift patterns are:

Monday 05:30-14:30

Tuesday 05:30-13:30

The rates of pay are:£13.26

Qualifications

Main Responsibilities

Correctly and effectively carry out the required functions, once trained to do so, in the cutting hall

General operative duties on the line as required

• Maintain Health and Safety standards in accordance with Company Policy and all relevant legislative documentation – actively encouraging health and safety awareness with other operatives maintaining a safe working environment.
• Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are adhered to in full – actively encouraging the ‘clean as you go’ philosophy.
• Ensure work practices minimise the risk of product contamination.
• Safe use of knives, maintaining health and safety standards
• Must be able to contribute towards achieving the product targets set for the day by working at a consistent work rate
• Must be aware of the surrounding environment and the potential hazards that could cause harm to themselves or their peers
• Must ensure that waste is kept to a minimum through a good quality of cut
• Correctly and effectively carry out the required functions, once trained to do so, in the cutting hall
• Ensure that all areas of training in basic food hygiene, health and safety and product quality are adhered to
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and presentation during working hours

The Ideal Candidate

Ability to use a knife or willing to learn – full training will be provided
