Job summary

Dunbia Group is seeking a General Operative to join the Hygiene team at our meat processing facility in Cardington. You will clean production areas, operate pressure washing equipment, and ensure lines are ready for production with meticulous attention to detail.

The role involves working Monday to Friday, 16.00 to 01.00, with a starting rate of £12.71 and progression to £14.40 after proficiency. No sponsorship for overseas applicants.

Qualifications

• Experience of cleaning in a production/industrial setting is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness in task execution.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Clean production areas using pressure washing to ready lines for start.
• Remove debris, dismantle parts as needed for access during cleaning.
• Re-clean to required standards and maintain hygiene schedules.
• Replenish dispensers and complete cleaning documentation.
• Carry out general hygiene duties as required.

We are actively seeking applications for the role of General Operative working within our Hygiene team to join an industry leader that provides opportunities for training and progression to the right candidates. You will be working in within a meat processing plant in one of Europe's leading food companies; suppliers of choice to a range of leading local, national and international supermarket, foodservice and manufacturing businesses exporting to over 50 countries worldwide.

The main function of the role is to ensure that the production areas are cleaned adequately, through pressure washing, for production to commence without delay.

• Removal of all loose debris from all surfaces.
• Dismantling appropriate parts of the machinery to allow cleaning/pressure washing to reach difficult areas.
• Pressure washing of all machinery and all surfaces within the designated area.
• Re-cleaning of any area found not to have been cleaned to the required standards identified at the final inspection.
• Replenishing all dispensers (soap, sanitising gel, paper towels, bin bags) in the hygiene points within the designated areas.
• Conducting deep cleaning as required.
• Completion and sign off of all relevant documentation (cleaning schedules, cleaning diary etc.).
• General hygiene/day cleaning duties when required.
• General dry and wet cleaning in site amenities when required.
• The successful candidate will have experience of cleaning and excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• The ability to work alone and as part of a team.
