Job summary

Dunbia is seeking a General Operative to join the Hygiene team in a meat processing plant. The role focuses on ensuring production areas are cleaned adequately through pressure washing so production can begin without delay, with a starting rate of £12.71 rising to £14.40 once fully proficient.

You will remove debris, dismantle machinery for thorough cleaning, pressure wash surfaces, replenish dispensers, complete cleaning documentation, and perform general hygiene duties.

Qualifications

• Experience of cleaning in a production or food environment.

• Ability to work alone and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Removal of all loose debris from all surfaces.
• Dismantling appropriate parts of the machinery to allow cleaning/pressure washing to reach difficult areas.
• Pressure washing of all machinery and all surfaces within the designated area.
• Re-cleaning of any area found not to have been cleaned to the required standards identified at the final inspection.
• Replenishing all dispensers (soap, sanitising gel, paper towels, bin bags) in the hygiene points within the designated areas.
• Completion and sign off of all relevant documentation (cleaning schedules, cleaning diary etc.).
• General hygiene/day cleaning duties when required.
• General dry and wet cleaning in site amenities when required.

You will be working in within a meat processing plant in one of Europe's leading food companies; suppliers of choice to a range of leading local, national and international supermarket, foodservice and manufacturing businesses exporting to over 50 countries worldwide.
