Job summary

Travail Employment Group is recruiting a Hygiene Operative in Melton Mowbray for a permanent role. The position runs 36.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday, 5:00pm to 1:00am, with a salary of £28,830 per year. Own transport is essential due to village location.

Role involves deep cleans of production lines and factory areas, waste disposal, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals. Industry experience and Food Hygiene knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in food manufacturing or similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of allergen awareness, food safety, and Health & Safety practices.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate desirable.
• Familiarity with HACCP and COSHH is a bonus.
• Physically fit with lifting, bending and carrying.

Responsibilities

• Perform intensive high-level and industrial deep cleans.
• Clean and sanitize production lines, factory floors, walls, conveyor belts, and work surfaces.
• Clear and dispose of factory waste and packaging materials.
• Dilute and apply industrial cleaning chemicals safely.

Hygiene Operative

Salary: £28830pa / £15.19ph

36.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 5:00pm to 1:00am

We are seeking Hygiene Operatives to join our client situated in a village just 6 miles from Melton Mowbray, so own transport would be essential.

Hygiene is hugely important to their business so the shift will start at 5pm and finish at 1am because the factory has to stop so that they can get all the production areas clean and ready for the next shift.

Duties required for Hygiene operatives:

• Perform intensive high-level and industrial deep cleans.
• Clean and sanitize production lines, factory floors, walls, conveyor belts, and work surfaces.
• Clear and dispose of factory waste and packaging materials.
• Dilute and apply industrial cleaning chemicals safely.

What are we looking for?

• Experienced in food manufacturing (or a similar industry) is a big plus!
• Strong knowledge of allergen awareness, food safety, and Health & Safety practices
• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable.
• Familiarity with HACCP and/or COSHH is a bonus.
• Physically fit - this role is physical and will consist of lifting, bending and carrying.
