Job summary

VolkerFitzpatrick Limited is recruiting a General Operative to join the VolkerLaser team in Scotland, based in Perth with activities across Scotland. You will support site operations, carry out civil engineering tasks and work under site management to meet safety and quality standards.

We offer comprehensive benefits and training with opportunities to develop hands-on skills across a range of construction disciplines. A full UK driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working on construction sites.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Full UK valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a variety of construction and civil engineering tasks as required.
• Operate tools, plant and equipment safely and competently in line with training, instruction and authorisation.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with company procedures, method statements and risk assessments.
• Maintain a high standard of housekeeping on site, including the care and maintenance of tools, plant and work areas.
• Identify and report hazards, near misses, defects or unsafe working conditions.
• Comply with all health, safety, wellbeing and environmental policies and procedures at all times, with responsibility for your own and others safety in your daily activity.
• Participate and actively engage in all site briefings, toolbox talks, and training activities.
