Job summary
VolkerLaser in Scotland is seeking a General Operative to join the team in a hands-on site role. You will carry out a range of construction tasks under site management, operate tools safely, and ensure all work complies with procedures and risk assessments.
The role requires CSCS, a full UK driving licence, and a solid health and safety understanding. Based in Glasgow and other locations across Scotland, it offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for training.
Qualifications
- CSCS card required.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Carry out a variety of construction and civil engineering tasks.
- Operate tools, plant and equipment safely and competently.
- Ensure works follow company procedures, method statements and risk assessments.
- Maintain high standard of housekeeping on site and care of tools and equipment.
- Identify and report hazards, near misses, defects or unsafe conditions.
- Comply with health, safety, wellbeing and environmental policies at all times.
- Participate in site briefings, toolbox talks and training activities.
