Makers is opening a new Marylebone store and seeks an experienced General Manager to lead pre‑opening and launch, then drive daily trading with a focus on service excellence, stock control, and wage efficiency. You will recruit, train, and coach a premium team, coordinate with Marketing, Procurement and Finance, and uphold Makers’ luxury standards.

In this senior, hands‑on role you will shape operations, customer experience and local engagement as the business scales across retail, e‑commerce

Qualifications

• Proven experience as General Manager or similar senior role within premium hospitality, cafes, bakeries or food retail.
• Experience leading a new opening, including recruitment, operational setup, training and launch.
• Strong track record of managing store profitability, budgets and commercial targets.

Responsabilités

• Lead the store’s operational opening plan, tracking deadlines and decisions.
• Translate concept/menu/service model into staffing, equipment and workflow requirements.
• Develop staffing structure and recruitment plan within headcount and payroll budget.
• Lead interviews, hiring, onboarding and training for the store team.
• Establish opening/closing procedures, service standards and daily checklists.
• Coordinate with Marketing & Sales to deliver a well‑prepared preview and opening experience.
• Manage store profitability and performance against sales, payroll, waste and costs.
