Job summary

Capital Garage Doors, part of Access Garage Doors Ltd, is seeking a commercially focused General Manager to lead daily operations and a team of around 20 staff. You will drive growth, oversee supplier relationships, manage pricing and margins, and implement improvements across processes and performance metrics.

The role offers significant autonomy, direct involvement with the Managing Director, and opportunities to shape long-term growth within a well-established regional business.

Qualifications

• Experience in a General Manager/Operations/Branch Manager role or similar senior position.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Commercially minded with a track record of improving business performance.
• Experience developing and implementing growth strategies.
• Proven ability to set, manage and achieve sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of Capital Garage Doors.
• Lead a team of about 20 employees and support their development.
• Develop and implement strategies to grow sales, profitability and business performance.
• Set and monitor sales targets and ensure execution of objectives.
• Review processes to identify and implement improvements and cost controls.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate terms to protect margins.
• Monitor stock levels, purchasing and inventory control.
• Ensure high standards of customer service across all departments.
