Job summary

Young’s is seeking a General Manager Designate to lead one of our stylish, food-focused pubs. You’ll tailor offerings to guests, recruit and develop a high-performing team, and grow the business in line with our vision.

You will undergo a comprehensive induction, visiting multiple pubs to learn our systems, culture and practices, while preparing to take on a general manager role with autonomy and support for your career development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing pub teams and frontline staff.
• Strong focus on delivering exceptional guest service.
• Experience in food-focused pub environments and menu development.
• Ability to recruit, train and develop team members for higher performance.
• Creativity and entrepreneurial approach to growing a pub business.

What is General Manager Designate?

We're always on the lookout for experienced General Managersto begin working and inducting with us so that when an opportunity comes upthey are ready to hit the ground running. We run beautiful pubsacross all over the country and allow our managers to have creativity to reallyput their stamp on the business.

Because of the unique nature of our business, the majorityof general managers that join us go through this process - think of it as aslightly longer induction where you'll cover everything from systems, foodtraining, company culture - and get to visit a range of pubs that cater todifferent customers for inspiration! You’ll attend a number ofcourses and give yourself that time to develop and grow before taking on abusiness of your own.
