Job summary

COREcruitment Ltd seeks a brilliant General Manager in Bristol to take complete ownership of a sizeable hospitality operation within one building. 15,000 sq ft of venue space includes multiple bars, four independent kitchens, an events space, terraces and rooftop areas demanding a high-energy leader.

You will own day-to-day operations, P&L, budgets, forecasting and labour, while engaging with independent kitchen operators.

Responsibilities

• Take complete ownership of day-to-day operation: people, culture, guest experience, standards and commercials.
• Own the full P&L, budgets, forecasting, labour and revenue while maintaining a hands-on floor presence.
• Build strong relationships with independent kitchen operators to align standards and deliver a cohesive building experience.
• Oversee events and private hire alongside busy daily trade, ensuring multiple revenue streams are maximised.

Job description

We are working with a seriously exciting new hospitality concept in Bristol who are looking for a brilliant General Manager to take complete ownership of the operation.

And this is definitely not your standard restaurant GM role.

We are talking 15,000 sq ft of hospitality under one roof – multiple bars, four independent kitchens, a huge events space, private dining, terraces, rooftop space and a business trading from morning coffee right through to late-night.

Essentially, you are running a small hospitality estate within one building.

THE ROLE:

• You will have complete ownership of the day-to-day operation – people, culture, guest experience, commercials, standards and everything in between.
• You will own the full P&L, budgets, forecasting, labour, GP and revenue, but this absolutely needs someone who loves the floor as much as they love the numbers.
• There is also a big partnership piece. The kitchens are run by independent operators with their own identities, so you need to be brilliant at relationships – bringing everyone together, setting the standards and making the whole building work as one.
• Events and private hire will be a huge part of the business, alongside busy everyday trade, so there will ALWAYS be something going on.

THE PERSON:

• We need a proper hospitality operator.
• Someone who has run a big, high-volume and operationally complex business – whether that's a large restaurant, food hall, premium bar operation, events-led venue or multi-site hospitality business.

You will be:

• Commercially VERY strong
• Brilliant with people and culture
• Comfortable owning a sizeable P&L
• Experienced in high-volume, late-night hospitality
• Confident managing multiple revenue streams and spaces
• Strong on compliance, licensing and H&S
• A natural host who genuinely loves being in the operation
• Most importantly, you need to LOVE hospitality.
