Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership, fostering a high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
• Manage a workforce of over 100 employees, including oversight of recruitment, training and development, performance management, succession planning, and disciplinary procedures.
• Ensure exceptional levels of customer satisfaction across all areas of the business through the delivery of high-quality service and operational excellence.
• Control operational budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure all business and profitability targets are consistently achieved.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing process enhancements to drive operational efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
• Oversee all departmental functions to ensure alignment with company objectives and that performance targets are met or exceeded.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Extensive senior management experience within an engineering environment, ideally with a strong background in sheet metal, fabrication, and laser cutting operations.
• A demonstrable track record of driving business growth and delivering sustained profitability, with a strong commitment to customer service excellence.
• In-depth understanding of management profit and loss accounts, with the ability to make data-driven decisions that enhance financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, combined with a collaborative leadership style and the ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
• Proven ability to influence and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers, creating a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
