Job summary

Cornish Bakery is seeking an experienced General Manager to inspire teams in a fast-paced bakery environment. You will coach staff, drive sales targets and KPIs, ensure high food quality and safety, and embed the High End Bakery mindset across the team.

You’ll build strong local community links, deliver industry-leading customer service, and take ownership of controllable costs with a positive, resilient leadership style.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a management or supervisory role within hospitality, food service, retail, café, bakery, or restaurant environments.
• Experience leading, motivating, and developing teams.
• Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service.
• Experience managing sales targets, budgets, and KPIs.
• Food preparation and food service experience.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, food safety, and quality standards.
• Experience in staff training and coaching.
• Ability to manage stock, wastage, and controllable costs.
• Experience working in a fast-paced customer-facing environment.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
