Role Overview:

This role requires an inspirational leader with proven flair and commercial ability, as well as the skill, energy, and determination to drive and develop the business. We're looking for a manager with experience in developing the standards and reputation of a new gym while nurturing a growing membership base and team.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure all policies and procedures in the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to.
2. Maintain the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
3. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks. Report and chase all defects to ensure the building and equipment are safe to use.
4. Recruit and manage a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants to ensure operational coverage and delivery of daily expectations.
5. Hold regular team meetings for development and updates.
6. Work towards and aim to achieve all sales and membership targets.
7. Drive and maximize secondary spending revenue.
8. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness across the gym facility.
9. Ensure in-house cleaners meet cleaning standards. Manage weekly banking to minimize wastage and variances, maximizing profit.
10. Adhere to uniform standards for all team members.
11. Create an enjoyable environment for the team at work.
12. Act as an ambassador for JD Gyms.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven management experience within the leisure industry.
• Passionate about customer service and inspiring leadership.
• Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
• Track record in driving sales, local marketing, and managing successful teams.
• Experience as a General Manager or similar operational role within a leisure facility is preferred.
