Overview

Avery Healthcare is one of the UK's largest providers of luxury elderly care homes. They are committed to creating meaningful lives together and offer exceptional care across their growing network of over 100 homes. Avery is looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated General Manager for Bagshot Gardens Care Home in Surrey.

Responsibilities

Your focus as General Manager will be to lead and inspire a team to deliver excellent person-centred quality care in a safe, caring and stimulating environment, while meeting regulatory requirements, professional and statutory standards, and business performance targets. You will be responsible for ongoing recruitment, retention and development of staff; act as a focal point for residents, relatives, visitors and health and social care professionals involved in residents wellbeing. Other responsibilities include ensuring safe staffing levels are reviewed and maintained in accordance with occupancy and dependency, providing ongoing inspirational leadership, and ensuring costs are well managed within budgetary controls.

Job responsibilities

  • Ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality care, person centred care and ensuring residents receive care based on best practice.
  • Being responsible for the ongoing recruitment, retention, and development of staff within the Home.
  • Acting as a focal point for contact with residents, their relatives, and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in residents wellbeing.
  • Ensuring safe staffing levels are reviewed and maintained in accordance with both occupancy and dependency.
  • Providing on-going inspirational leadership and management to the staff team.
  • Ensuring costs are well managed and maintained within budgetary controls, by reviewing regularly and monitoring stock.
