Job summary

DO & CO London is seeking a meticulous General Ledger Accountant to manage routine and non-routine GL tasks, support month-end close, fixed assets and intercompany reconciliations within a luxury airline catering environment.

You will prepare journals, ensure data accuracy, liaise with multiple departments and external auditors, and contribute to timely financial reporting while maintaining strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Build and maintain excellent working relationships across departments to ensure professional service.
• Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure data accuracy.
• Support Financial Accounting Manager with daily tasks and month-end close activities.
• Maintain fixed assets database and intercompany recharge management.
• Prepare, review and submit VAT returns; monitor VAT transactions.
• Coordinate internal audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Develop cross-department relationships to deliver finance support.
• Ensure timely and accurate journal postings and reconciliations.
• Assist in month-end close, audits, and financial reporting processes.
• Manage fixed assets records and intercompany charges.
• Support VAT compliance and regulatory reporting.
• Liaise with auditors and stakeholders to ensure audit readiness.
