Job summary

DO & CO London is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to handle routine and non-routine accounting functions with a strong focus on General Ledger activities. You will support the Financial Accounting Manager with month-end and quarter-end close, fixed assets, reconciliations and audits, recording a wide range of financial transactions.

The role requires meticulous record keeping, collaboration across departments, and proactive contribution to a professional DO & CO culture.

Qualifications

BSc in Accounting, Finance or Mathematics or relevant experience in a Financial Administrator/ Assistant role.
Strong problem-solving mentality with a can-do attitude and team focus.
Excellent English communication and professional presentation.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain excellent working relationships with other departments to ensure professional service.
Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure data accuracy.
Support Financial Accounting Manager with daily tasks and month-end close activities.
Conduct record keeping for audit trails and reporting; assist with VAT returns and intercompany recharge management.
Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies during inspections and audits.
Oversee financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
