Job summary

GET Staff is recruiting a General Haulage HGV Class 1 (LGV1, Cat C+E) Night Trunk Driver based in Southampton. You will operate HGV1 articulated vehicles for general haulage across the UK and maintain accurate paperwork and records in line with WTD.

Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence, HGV1 (C+E), DP World card, Digital Tachograph card, with no more than 6 points and at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
• DP World Card
• Digital Tachograph card
• No more than 6 points on licence
• At least 1 year of HGV1 experience
• Good working knowledge of the UK motorway network and WTD regulations

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 articulated vehicles for general haulage across the UK.
• Ensure all paperwork and electronic records are accurately completed and up to date.
• Maintain accurate records of breaks and working hours in line with Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations.
• Comply with all agency and client policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Take full responsibility for the quality of work, maintaining professionalism.
• Communicate effectively with customers, clients, and operations teams to ensure smooth deliveries and collections.
• Complete all assigned tasks efficiently and within required timeframes.
