Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is looking for experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for regular night shifts across the UK. The role offers up to 3 trunking runs per shift with a focus on safety and efficiency. Weekend work is optional to boost earnings, and the position is temporary with ongoing work; starting times range from 18:00 to 20:00.

The role pays £16 per hour for PAYE and up to £20 per hour via umbrella schemes. Closing date is 27 October 2026.

Qualifications

• A valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence.
• A current Driver CPC qualification.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Experience operating and unloading double-decker trailers.
• Minimum 6 months’ Class 1 driving experience.

Job Description

Straightforward trunking work for Class 1 drivers!

Are you an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver? This role offers reliable and consistent night shifts throughout the week. There is also optional weekend work should you wish to increase your earnings.

This opportunity is working for a highly organised and efficient business with no more than 3 runs per shift trunking across the UK. This allows you to focus on the driving and the safety of the job and not a demanding schedule.

Duration: This is a temporary role offering regular ongoing work.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: This role pays £16 per hour for PAYE employees, and you may accrue up to 28 days annual leave.Alternatively umbrella scheme will pay £20 per hour.This role does not offer visa sponsorship.

Working Hours: This opportunity is night shifts running Monday to Friday. Start times are between 1800 and 2000. Weekend work is available but not compulsory.
